Testimonials
The Round Rock SERTOMA Club is pleased to have the endorsement of many individuals and organizations in the Round Rock community. The following are some of these endorsements:
Dell Children’s Medical Center
Dell Children’s Medical Center is happy and grateful to continue its partnership with the Round Rock Sertoma Club. This enthusiastic group of committed volunteers raises funds for the Audiology Program at Dell Children’s so that babies and children from 46 counties in Central Texas can have the latest equipment and technology available. This means that kids with hearing issues can get the diagnosis and treatment they need to stay healthy and do well in school and life. The Annual Sertoma Club Duck Race makes that support possible. Thank you to the Sertomas and everyone who participates and helps change children’s lives!

University of Texas Speech and Hearing Center
“The Round Rock SERTOMA Club supports the UT Speech and Hearing Clinic by providing funds to purchase state of the art audiological equipment for student training and by supporting the SHARP program (Sertoma Hearing Aid Recycling Program) that provides recycled hearing aids to low income individuals in Central Texas who do not qualify for any other state or federal programs. Without this program, many Central Texans would go without essential hearing amplification.”

“I joined the Round Rock SERTOMA Club in 1977, shortly after moving to Round Rock. I am very proud to be a member of a club that has done so much for our community and encourage others to give some of their time and talent to the community by becoming a member of a civic/service club such as SERTOMA.”
Charlie Culpepper, Mayor of Round Rock, 1993-1999“As a Round Rock SERTOMA Club member I met community ‘movers and shakers’, some of whom encouraged my involvement in city government. I also got the gratification of being part of a club that took it’s ‘Service To Mankind’ very seriously, helping many children with hearing disorders and supporting the girl’s softball program.”
Robert Stluka, Mayor of Round Rock, 1999-2002Parent Resources for Infants Developmental Education (PRIDE)
“Meeting the special needs of children with disabilities is a tremendous challenge for families. By helping the PRIDE ECI Program, the Round Rock SERTOMA Club enables these young lives to have what they need to succeed. Thank you, SERTOMA!”
Joy Dillman, Director of PRIDESERteens
“The Round Rock SERTOMA Club provides financial aid to the SERteens with gifts and scholarships. More importantly, they give us opportunities to volunteer at Frontier Days, attend their meetings, and help with their Christmas tree sales where our members can observe positive examples of adult involvement in community service. This is a valuable life lesson for teenagers.”

“I have observed that Round Rock SERTOMA Club is passionate in its purpose toward community and school interests. One shining example is their 11 year dedication to the Round Rock Special Olympics program through their generous financial contributions. We hold SERTOMA as true friends to our organization and the athletes we serve.”
Jan Sartain, Coordinator, Round Rock Special OlympicsRound Rock Independent School District
“The Round Rock SERTOMA Club has worked diligently with the Round Rock Independent School District to provide listening devices and medical services for students who are either deaf or hard of hearing and students in need of costly medical treatments. The Club has also provided funding to families to assist in the purchasing of augmentative communication devices for students with severe speech impairments. The district and the students we serve are most fortunate to have such a supportive community service group that is dedicated to the needs of children. Our continuing partnership will ensure that every child is given the opportunity to meet their individual potential by overcoming difficult obstacles.”
