2023 Sertoma Scholarship Program   

Round Rock Sertoma is pleased to offer graduating high school seniors in Round Rock ISD the opportunity to apply for one of the following scholarships. Applications should be submitted by March 1.

  1. The Sarah Brunet Scholarship

Application Download: Scholarship – STUDYING TO HELP Deaf Applicants.  

Scholarship to be awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Hearing Impairment, such as Audiology or ENT

  • General Scholarship – $2000 award will be payable to your college of choice.

The Sarah Brunet scholarship is named to honor of club member. who served her club and community for several years, including numerous Leadership positions. She was a recipient of Round Rock Sertoma Bill Buckler Memorial Scholarship Award, Sertoma Serteen International Scholarship, Round Rock Sertoma Scholarship, and numerous other awards. Sarah was also instrumental in building our High School Serteen to what it is today.

  1. Active in Round Rock High School’s Zoi Ora Filos Serteen Club :

  • The Bill Buckler Memorial Scholarship – $2000 award will be payable to your college of choice.

The Bill Buckler scholarship is named to honor a past club member who served in a variety of leadership positions in the Round Rock Community. Bill’s regular contributions to the community included coordinating the Round Rock Parade each Fourth of July, helping to rebuild Round Rock’s Battered Women’s Shelter, and serving as President and Treasurer of Round Rock Sertoma. The Bill Buckler Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a ZOI Ora Filos Serteen who has shown strong leadership, commits many hours of service to their community, and has a passion for serving others.

4) Active in Cedar Ridge High School’s Zoi ROZVI Serteen Club :

  • The Karl Hanner Scholarship – $2000 award will be payable to your college of choice.

The Karl Hanner scholarship is named in honor of Karl M. Hanner, a long time Round Rock Sertoma member.  Karl has been an avid supporter of education in Round Rock, as well as served on the Board of Education.  Karl has been instrumental in growing the Round Rock Sertoma club since its inception in 1975.  He has served on the Round Rock Sertoma Board of Directors and on the Sertoma International Board.  The Karl M. Hanner  Scholarship will be awarded to a ROZVI Serteen who has shown strong leadership, commits many hours of service to their community, and has a passion for serving others.
